Shown in many shows with multiple art galleries and collectives such as “LUCID” with Dope Dope Dope Art Collective, “Open Late on Larkin” with Fleet Wood, “New Works” at D-Structure, “Anniversary Show” at Wonderland SF and at the art festival KAABOO. The original painting is based on love that endures even after death. Originally created for my first solo show at D-Structure on Haight and Fillmore in San Francisco as part of a larger series on skulls and time. I created a temporary mural installation for the show with the quote from Choke by Chuck Palahniuk: “The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because it’s only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think, the way they see themselves, the way they see the world- you can change the way people live their lives. That’s the only lasting thing you can create.”
